
You know that feeling when you jump into a project with a -9.3% revenue deficit, receive system credentials just 7 days before starting, and spend hours every day manually adjusting prices? That’s exactly how my collaboration with an independent hotel began in May 2025.
The goal was clear: wipe out the loss and make the hotel profitable. The result? In just 9 months, we increased revenue by 10%. But the journey to that number almost cost me my sanity—and that is exactly what led me to create the brand-new SaaS application I am currently working on.
The Daily Routine That Will Break You
In the first weeks of the project, I was adjusting prices three to four times a day, entirely manually. The competition was doing massive last-minute discounting (dropping rates by 20–30%), and I had to react immediately. I quickly erased the deficit, but I soon hit a hard ceiling.
Once the hotel started filling up and occupancy exceeded 90%, the manual work and Excel report creation became completely unsustainable. I knew that as a revenue manager, I couldn’t spend hours a day just tweaking prices and staring at spreadsheets. If I wanted to push the hotel further, I needed to change how I tracked data.
Salvation Called the Booking Pace Plan and AI
Instead of drowning in complex data from the previous year, I created a simple calculation system. I started tracking the Booking Pace Plan.

I broke down the monthly financial goals into weekly milestones. This gave me a clear view of what our “linear pickup” (booking growth) needed to be to hit our desired revenue by the end of the month. I knew exactly how many rooms we needed to sell each week and at what Average Daily Rate (ADR).
In October, I fully integrated Artificial Intelligence into this daily process. AI helped me understand the speed of the booking pace, set the right milestones, and completely freed me from the need to create tailor-made manual reports that no one reads anyway.
Instead of building a complex system that required PMS integration or IT setup, I kept it intentionally simple. You export your reservation data as a CSV from any system — every PMS can do this in under two minutes. You upload it to Kaamo. That’s it. No integration project. No waiting weeks for a developer. The Booking Pace Plan generates itself.
The Result? Revenue Management DECISION in Under 60 Minutes a Day
This new approach changed everything. Not only did we achieve record results in December and boost revenue by 10% in a hotel with a 30-year history, but most importantly: I slashed the time spent on daily revenue management operations to under 60 minutes a day.
