What you’re about to see is real. In this video, I show an actual Google AI Search result from Germany (tested on October 16) — and the change is nothing short of dramatic. Forget traditional search. Google’s new AI Mode completely transforms how travelers discover, compare, and book hotels. 🏨 This shift affects your SEO, visibility, and direct booking strategy — especially if you rely on organic search or brand name lookups.
I tested it on October 16 via the German IP, and honestly — I was shocked. Well, not really by what happened, but by how it happened and what the search results looked like.
This new mode doesn’t just show ads or rankings.
It actually reads and interprets hotel websites — reputation, facilities, adults-only policies, EV chargers, location details — and creates a full AI-generated recommendation list.
No paid ads.
No classic SEO.
Just pure AI-driven relevance.
To understand how it behaves, I tested it both while logged in to Google Chrome and in an incognito window.
🔍 The results were completely different:
🔥 When logged in, I got rich, structured AI answers — full of context, details, and even tables.
🔥In incognito, the output was much simpler — shorter text, fewer hotels, less structure.
This means that AI Mode doesn’t just read your website — it also adapts results to user behavior and personalization.
I discovered it almost by accident the day before I recorded it, tested it immediately, and within minutes jumped on a call with Martin Patricny and Jan Popovic to discuss what this means for hotels.
Because this isn’t some distant future — it’s already rolling out. And if your hotel website isn’t ready for AI reading… you might soon disappear from visibility altogether.
